Who will win the NBA Championship?

So,were the Golden State Warriors ever really in trouble against Oklahoma City in the Western Conference finals when they were down 3 games to 1? The Thunder are proved to be a bigger challenge than most would have thought and to think BIlly Donovan was pushing all the right buttons and having them playing very strong basketball. After going 73-9 and cake walking thru the playoffs to that point, they had never had a slump this season, so facing some new adversity is probably a good thing for them. Especially since Cleveland proved to be the best again in the East and also playing at the top of their game.

Will the Cavaliers be able to climb the mountain and dethrone the Warriors? They do possess their own big three with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love and even though LeBron has his moments of sketchiness, you certainly cannot question his desire to win. That said, I think Golden State completes their repeat as NBA Champs in 6 games.

Will there be fallout for Oklahoma City losing out on Kevin Durant in free agency? It’s a tough pill to swallow being on the brink of taking out Golden State and it would taste even nastier if Durant decides he can get his championship elsewhere. I’m not sure there is better fit for him than where he is now. The Thunder has a strong roster and Billy Donovan has shown he could make the transition from being a great college coach to having success in NBA. I think BIlly D can get them to a championship ring.

On to some other topics:

Now that we went through the hell of having to endure tons of mock drafts for the NFL, we are now being subjected to Fantasy League mock drafts. Why is it we take good things and find ways to just put a foul odor on them? The more content that has to be produced to fill air time or generate click-bait means that we have to deal with more contrived and make believe stuff. I implore of sports fans everywhere to stop feeding this nonsense.

And as we conclude the second month of the baseball season, the Chicago Cubs are still staking their claim as the team to beat. I contend again that Joe Maddon was a brilliant hire as his unorthodox ways may be the perfect antidote for the so called curses and losing ways the Cubs have made famous.
